Marc Hacker was fourteen when he first became serious
about pottery in his junior high school art classes.
He studied with Don Curtis at the University of Arkansas
from 1980-1984. He now works with Jay Going at the
Florida Keys Community College in Key West.
For Marc, clay is the ultimate medium for creation.
For such a simple substance, there are endless
possibilities of form, and though countless ceramic
artists over thousands of years have gone before, there
is always something new
Marc is inspired by ancient pottery, and enjoys
incorporating designs from early civilization into
modern works. He has created major pieces for the
annual Aids Help Art Auction in Key West.
